Trev Downey’s latest guest on The Interview is the former Scottish international and double league winner, John Wark. An outrageously prolific goalscoring midfielder, Wark was at Liverpool from 1984 to 1988 and in this first instalment of the two-part episode, Trev speaks to John about his early days in Glasgow and his rapid rise through the ranks at Bobby Robson’s incredibly successful Ipswich Town in the late 70s and very early 80s. This incredible form sealed John’s move to Anfield and Trev quizzes him on the mechanics of the transfer, his very peculiar medical and his early days at LFC.
