Liverpool play Bournemouth on Saturday in the Premier League. We’ve had a look at Jurgen Klopp’s likely starting eleven for the game at the Vitality Stadium.
Alisson is available again after missing Wednesday night’s Merseyside derby victory through suspension. The Brazilian goalkeeper received a red card for handling the ball outside the box in The Reds’ 2-1 win over Brighton last Saturday. Adrian took his place in goals for the 5-2 thrashing of Everton but will be back on the bench for this game.
I think Klopp will stick with the same back four at Bournemouth. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will be in their full-back positions with Dejan Lovren partnering Virgil van Dijk in the centre.
Joel Matip, of course, is still out injured.
In midfield, Fabinho is unavailable until the new year. Gini Wijnaldum played the full game against Everton so I think Jordan Henderson will be tasked with the ‘6’ role on Saturday. Naby Keita was an unused substitute against Everton and many fans feel his time at the club could come to a premature end if things don’t change for him quickly. I think Keita, alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, could start in midfield with Henderson against Bournemouth.
Up front, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will most likely start at the Vitality Stadium with the derby-day hero, Divock Origi.
Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) Vs Bournemouth: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Firmino, Origi
