Liverpool play Southampton this Saturday at Anfield in their final game before a two-week break. We’ve had a look at Jurgen Klopp’s likely starting eleven for the game.

The Reds will be looking to make it 24 wins from 25 against The Saints but will have to do so without star man, Sadio Mané. Liverpool’s number 10 missed the 2-0 win at West Ham on Wednesday and it’s highly unlikely that he will be risked on Saturday at Anfield.

Alisson Becker will continue in goals after another fine performance and a clean sheet against The Hammers.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson should start on either side of the back four with Joe Gomez deservedly keeping his place alongside Virgil van Dijk in the centre of defence.

Fabinho is likely to start and I think Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum will be in front of the Brazilian defensive midfielder. Naby Keita could feature from the bench after making a brief cameo appearance on his return from injury at West Ham.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are fit to start and I can see Klopp opting to give Takumi Minamino a first Premier League start instead of the injured Mané on the left.

Salah, in particular, was in fine form during the week, chipping in with a goal and an assist. More of the same, please, Mo.

Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) Vs Southampton: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Minamino
