Liverpool are reported to have enquired about the potential availability of Wolves star Adama Traoré with Jürgen Klopp a huge admirer of the 24-year-old.
In January, the former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough winger gave Liverpool a torrid time and was unlucky to end up on the losing side as The Reds won 2-1 at Molineux. Traoré had a fantastic game and created the Wolves goal for Raúl Jiménez.
After the game, speaking on BBC Sport, Klopp said of Traoré:
“He is unplayable in moments, it’s unbelievable. What a player – it’s not only him but he’s so good.”
This week, the Mirror claims that Liverpool have indeed asked about a possible transfer involving the Wolves winger.
In 28 Premier League appearances (22 starts) so far this season, Traoré has scored four goals and provided seven assists for Wolves.
Pace, strength, work ethic and a direct, attacking nature make Traoré one of the most exciting players to watch in the UK in the last 18 months or more.
It is believed that Wolves would command a fee of around £70 million for Traoré, a nice mark-up on the £18 million they spent when acquiring him from Middlesbrough in 2018.
