Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah both look to be winning the race to be fit for The Reds’ Premier League return against Everton this Sunday night.
Both Robertson and Salah missed out on Liverpool’s 6-0 friendly win over Blackburn Rovers late last week. At the time, it was rumoured to be just a precaution in the case of both players. However, Jürgen Klopp’s men played another inter-squad friendly on Sunday and, as reported by Dominic King, Robertson and Salah were involved.
Liverpool squad has no fitness worries so far ahead of first game back. There was an inter-squad game at Anfield yesterday, which involved Mo Salah and Andy Robertson after they had sat out Blackburn friendly as a precaution.

This means Liverpool should go into Sunday night’s Merseyside derby at Goodison Park with a fully fit first-team squad to choose from.
The Reds are just six points away from league title number 19 but the club’s first in 30 years.
After Liverpool travel the short distance to face Everton on Sunday, they then welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield on Wednesday, June 24th. Eight days later, Klopp’s team travels to second-placed Manchester City.
With the hectic schedule in place over the next couple of months for all Premier League clubs, there are sure to be several injuries suffered. The Premier League has introduced a temporary ‘five-sub’ rule for the remainder of the 2019/20 season. Teams can now bring on a maximum of five players instead of three.
In addition, the Premier League has increased the maximum number of substitutes permitted to sit on the bench from seven to nine. However, due to the total number of substitutions possible in a game is now 10 instead of six, managers will only be allowed to make changes at three points in the game. The idea behind limiting the number of stoppages for substitutions is to reduce the level of disruption in a match.
