Liverpool play Burnley tonight in their final away game of the season. Jürgen Klopp’s men are still in with a chance of a top-four finish.
The Liverpool boss is certainly not spoiled for choice when it comes to picking his starting lineup for this visit to Turf Moor. The following players are out through injury – Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joël Matip, Jordan Henderson, Diogo Jota, Ozan Kabak, Naby Keïta, and Ben Davies.
James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be back in contention for tonight’s game.
Goal hero Alisson Becker will continue between the sticks for Liverpool. In front of Alisson, the back four pretty much has to be Trent Alexander-Arnold, Nat Phillips, Rhys Williams, and Andy Robertson. There have been some calls for Klopp to put Fabinho back in beside Phillips instead of risking Williams again. The youngster had a tough afternoon on Sunday. I think Williams will start, however.
Fabinho will start in his natural defensive-midfielder position with Gini Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcântara alongside him. Thiago has been fantastic in recent weeks and his form could be vital in helping us over the line in these next two games.
Diogo Jota is out injured and only has a very slim chance of being fit for Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace. That means our starting forward line tonight will be Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mané.
