By anyone’s standards Liverpool have had a good couple of weeks. Since the debacle that was the  defeat to Bolton, some home truths and committed performances have improved the outlook to the rest of the season for the Reds and their supporters. Even the collective media reaction that Liverpool can lift themselves for the big […]

Liverpool FC have finally made it to the new Wembley Stadium and how sweet it is. The road to Wembley was a tough one with Away wins over Stoke, Chelsea and Manchester City along the way how fitting it that it came down to the 2nd leg at Anfield to decide whether Liverpool made the […]

As we approach the January transfer window Liverpool will be looking to bring in a few new faces to the club and whether those players are stars or up and comers we will find out. As you look at the team closely you are able to find those areas in which we are in need […]

And what a week that was. From Chelsea to City and back again. Two fantastic performances put in by the players. Then right back down to earth with the hide-under-the-duvet moment when we found out the unfortunate news of Lucas’s bad injury. After putting in a couple of bone crunching displays against City and Chelsea, […]

Steven Gerrard has been a stalwart and inspiration for our club for a long time, and on many occasion he had to carry the club on his shoulders alone. There hasn’t been a better ambassador for this club for a very long time, maybe not since King Kenny left the first time.
On Friday 15th of July 2011 it was announced that Stewart Downing had completed his long awaited move to Liverpool Football Club. It has to be said that this signing has been somewhat underwhelming for most Liverpool fans, especially with the suggested price tag of £20 million. Unlike previous seasons Liverpool have had to use three captains, due to injuries and suspension to our normal candidate Steven Gerrard. So far in Gerrard’s absence Jamie Carragher Liverpool’ s vice captain has taken the step up, but in both of their absences fan’s favourite Pepe Reina has made the arm band his own. But […]

Over the years Liverpool have had some of the most accomplished penalty takers in the game, take the shot from 12 yards for them. Names like Neal, Mølby, Liddell and Gerrard, the list could go on. Overall Liverpool have had 75 different successful spot kick takers, since being founded in 1892. Liverpool have scored a total of 462 spot kicks since their first game nearly 119 years ago. The most prolific of our 75 spot kick takers was Jan Mølby, who converted 42 of his 45 penalties, closely follow by Phil Neal who scored 38, missing 13.
