The four players in question were Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joël Matip, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Van Dijk and Gomez have been injured since October and November respectively. Matip has been out since January while Alexander-Arnold was injured in an England friendly shortly before the Euros.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Klopp offered the following insight into each of their current situations, …

Reds Get Stuck Into Second Day of Training in Austria
Liverpool are settling into their Austrian training camp as they stepped it up a gear on their second day in the Salzburg region.
A spec-less Jürgen Klopp - rumours are that he may have had laser eye surgery - oversaw proceedings with his coaching staff in the beautiful surroundings.
The Reds welcomed back players from long-term injuries such as Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joël Matip. Matip and Gomez could be seen in the Liverpoolfc.com photos taking part in …

Will Liverpool Repeat Relegation Signing Trick With Sander Berge
If you analyze Liverpool's transfer business over the last few years, one thing sticks out: they are not shy of signing players from relegated clubs.
Georginio Wijnaldum, a key cog in the club's recent successes, arrived from relegated Newcastle United in the summer of 2016. Likewise, Andy Robertson -- arguably the world's finest left-back -- joined Liverpool from the demoted Hull City in the summer window of 2017. To complete the hattrick, Xherdan Shaqiri swapped Championship bound Stoke for Anfield …

Set Piece Toothlessness Hindering Liverpool After Defensive Injury Nightmare
Liverpool's defensive injury crisis has hindered them in so many ways this season.
Losing Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip has obviously hamstrung the defending champions in defence, not that you would necessarily know it from the goals conceded column.
The break glass in case of emergency defenders -- Fabinho and Jordan Henderson -- have coped admirably with their new tasks and Liverpool, on the whole, have been solid at the back. The 7-2 evisceration at Villa Park, …

Ozan Kabak: More Joel Matip than Dejan Lovren
Ozan Kabak shares a number of similarities with Dejan Lovren. He also has traits that are comparable to Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk. It’s be expected though, given Liverpool have a clear profile when it comes to defenders.
I realise it is difficult to do, but if you look past Lovren’s erratic moments, his profile was perfect for Liverpool. He was physically dominant, both on the ground and in the air, he could pick a pass and he was …

Liverpool signing Ben Davies appears well-suited to “quarterback” role
After days of nothingness mainly made up of endless scrolling through Liverpool Twitter (presumably), Michael Edwards was evidently moved enough by fans’ pleas to leap into action with deadline day looming. With fears the team’s season was slipping further away with every new injury at the back and its knock-on effects through the rest of the team, Liverpool have signed Preston North End defender Ben Davies as part of their attempts to fill their once-gaping void at the centre-back position.

Time and Money: Reminder from Michael Edwards
Benjamin Franklin said time is money in 1748. In 2021, there’s no-one more acutely aware than FSG and crucially Michael Edwards. The transfer window opened on 1st January, but it’s been clear for some time of Liverpool’s needs in defence. However, the exact needs only became abundantly clear to everyone late last night. In a race against time and with funds clearly tight, it became clear that all the days business had been done efficiently.
To start at the beginning …

Klopp gives injury update ahead of Spurs game
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp gave a general injury update ahead of his side's trip to play Spurs in London on Thursday night.
Thankfully, Klopp confirmed that there were "no new cases" to be concerned about. Of course, Liverpool are still without Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Naby Keïta, Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas.
The good news is that Jordan Henderson has returned to full training and may be available for the Spurs match. Joël Matip is also still fit after …

Reds duo could be losing race to be fit for United clash on Sunday
The Liverpool duo of Joël Matip and Naby Keïta may miss out on Sunday's top-of-the-table Premier League clash with Manchester United.
Jürgen Klopp's defensive injury woes look set to continue with Matip missing since going off after an hour of Liverpool's 1-1 draw with West Brom in late December. The Reds were hoping to have the 29-year-old centre-half back to partner Fabinho at the heart of the back four on Sunday. However, with Matip nowhere to be seen during Liverpool's …
