There was no better encapsulation of my feelings towards last night's performance than the Anfield Wrap's half-time Instagram post - 'Fuck off Liverpool'.
At that point, there were still three more Villa goals to come, delivering the kind of result that might leave you queasy and anxious for much of the inexplicably-timed international break.
Even in the...
Liverpool fell to one of their heaviest ever defeats at Villa Park on Sunday night in a game that bemused Reds fans and players alike.
Aston Villa turned in a fantastic performance, winning 7-2 and, all things considered, it could have been a lot worse for Liverpool.
When interviewed after the game, Scotland captain Andy Robertson...
Every top team wants versatile players. In fact, they need flexible players to give them the option of changing things within a match without having to make changes. Liverpool, as an example, have deployed Sadio Mane on the left, on the right and at times centrally. Mohamed Salah has played right-wing and as a...

The futures of Thiago Alcantara and Georginio Wijnaldum seemed inextricably linked.
The 29-year-old midfielders, whose respective contracts at FC Bayern and Liverpool had a year left to run, were both widely expected to move on this summer.
Thiago, after signalling his intent to leave the European Champions in pursuit of a new challenge, was expected to...
