Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp has promised that his team is ready ‘to fight for everything’ in title race against Manchester City and Spurs.
The former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund boss was in good spirits as he spoke to reporters today ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League fixture with Bournemouth on Saturday.
Klopp insisted his players are ready for whatever the title race throws at them and that if they do fall short, it will not be due to a lack of effort or belief.
“We will be ready with each fibre of our bodies to fight for everything. At the end of the season, I just want to be able to say we gave everything. You can’t have 62pts without doing really good and we have the chance to get a few more.”
Liverpool have stumbled to just two points in their last two games and Klopp knows that another poor performance against Bournemouth would allow the media to mount even more pressure on his side.
The Reds watched as Manchester City went back to the top of the Premier League table with a 2-0 win at hapless Everton on Wednesday night. However, a win for Liverpool on Saturday will put them three points clear again, with the same number of games played.
