Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah made it two goals in two games as he helped Egypt to top Group A of the AFCON with a 100% record.
The Reds’ number 11 scored an excellent free-kick to open the scoring against Uganda in the 36th minute. Egypt went on to win 2-0 and qualify for the last sixteen of the AFCON with the maximum possible 9 points.
Nice free kick from Salah. Strikes it really well for his second goal of #AFCON2019 pic.twitter.com/fnm2fK95bM

Egypt is now the 11/4 favourites to win this summer’s AFCON outright with Sadio Mané’s Senegal second at 5/1.
The most important thing for Reds fans everywhere is that Salah and Mané finish the AFCON with a clean bill of health.
Liverpool have already enough injury concerns regarding Naby Keita who has, as reported by the Mirror, returned to Melwood for treatment but is expected to head back out to the AFCON in the next couple of days to continue representing Guinea at the tournament. Guinea finished third in their group but will qualify for the last sixteen as one of the best third-placed teams.
