Football pundit Tony Cascarino believes reigning European champions Liverpool F.C could yet make two significant signings before the transfer window shuts in nine days’ time.
Liverpool had enjoyed an extremely quiet summer so far, with only teenagers Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliot arriving at Anfield.
However, the Reds are once again linked with a late transfer to sign Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele on Tuesday morning, while there are also rumours the Merseysiders targets another talent from Fulham in Ryan Sessegnon.
And while the Reds boss has openly admitted the club has not given up hope of still making a significant signing this window via online slots real money, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has downplayed his side chances having admitted getting the right kind of player the club needs this summer is proving extremely difficult.
However, Cascarino, as backed by latest odds from casinos online, still thinks the Reds could still complete one or two deals before the deadline a week on Thursday.
In an exclusive interview with talkSPORT, Cascarino said via TeamTalk:
“As much as Liverpool are very, very quiet, I still think they will make a signing or maybe two.
“I don’t think they will go through this whole window with not really bringing in any players.
“Okay, they have some exciting youngsters coming through such as [Rhian] Brewster. But Liverpool will get through it because there squads getting better and bigger.
“As we get to the final day, there are clubs waiting in the wings. Sometimes out of nowhere people become available.
“The vultures that these clubs are, once they see a move that’s possible because Liverpool standards are very high.
“Where they are now, they are competing for really good footballers. They might make a steal on someone.”
