Liverpool travel to play Watford at Vicarage Road in the Premier League this Saturday evening. We’ve had a look at the likely starting lineup Jurgen Klopp will go with for this game.
The Reds are now just four wins away from winning the club’s 19th league title so another three points against Nigel Pearson’s Watford would be huge.
Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Nathaniel Clyne are all out due to injury while James Milner will face a late fitness test to see if he will be available for selection.
Alisson Becker will continue in goals for Liverpool with what should be our full-strength back four in front of him – Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson.
With Henderson out, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum will start in the middle and I think Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will get the nod for the third midfield spot ahead of Naby Keita. While Keita showed glimpses of what he’s capable of against West Ham, Oxlade-Chamberlain drove Liverpool on with more impetus from midfield in his 30-minute appearance against The Hammers.
It should be business as usual up front with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané all fit and ready to start.
Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) Vs Watford: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Firmino, Mané
