Liverpool’s scouting department is reported to be keeping close tabs on Valencia’s versatile young forward, Ferrán Torres.
As reported by David Maddock in the Daily Mirror, Jürgen Klopp and his backroom team are rumoured to be admirers of Torres’ ability.
Having made just 10 starts in the previous two LaLiga campaigns, Torres burst onto the scene in 2019/20 with 25 appearances (20 starts), four goals and four assists for Valencia.
The 20-year-old can play on either side of the attack and, standing at just over six-feet tall, is also useful in the air.
Torres’ versatility could play a huge part in whether Klopp and co decide to pursue a deal with the young Spaniard.
As Maddock reports, Valencia will be looking to extend Torres’ stay at the club. However, with Torres’ existing contract expiring in the summer of 2021, Valencia may be forced to sell sooner rather than later.
Torres has attracted much attention both domestically and on the continent with Maddock claiming that Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City would all provide competition for the youngster’s signature.
