Liverpool will look to move three points closer to league title number 19 when they meet Crystal Palace at Anfield tonight. We’ve had a look at the possible starting lineup for The Reds.
Jürgen Klopp’s men drew 0-0 at Everton on Sunday evening, moving them one point closer to securing the championship. Tonight’s game gives Liverpool the chance to add three more points to their tally. However, Roy Hodgson’s Eagles are on a run of four consecutive league victories so will provide stiff opposition.
Alisson will start in goals for Liverpool. The Brazil international was in brilliant form against Everton, pulling off a couple of vital saves at Goodison Park when called upon.
James Milner and Joël Matip both came off injured on Sunday and neither will be available for tonight’s game. This means Andy Robertson may start at left-back, possibly a little earlier than Klopp had hoped as the Scotland captain is recovering from injury. Joe Gomez should start in the middle of the back four, alongside Virgil van Dijk.
I think Klopp will rotate the midfield, bringing in Gini Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to start with Fabinho. This means Jordan Henderson and Naby Keïta could be on the bench.
Mohamed Salah will, hopefully, be back in the starting eleven, forming a full-strength front three with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané.
Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3) vs Crystal Palace: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Firmino, Mané
