Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp won the final Manager of the Month award of the season after his team’s strong finish to the campaign.
Klopp and his team managed to finish third in the Premier League, taking eight wins from their final ten games. Liverpool actually won their last five matches in a row. All of those games were in May leading to Klopp being awarded the Manager of the Month title.
It was Klopp’s first such award this season but his ninth MOTM title since taking over at Anfield in October 2015.

Not many believed Liverpool could finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League again this season. However, Klopp never gave up the fight and managed to steer his injury-ravaged squad into a third-place finish, taking a fantastic 26 points from the final 30 available since mid-March.
With Ibrahima Konaté’s signing already confirmed this summer, Liverpool have got straight down to business in preparations for fresh challenges, both domestically and in Europe, next season.
Klopp will welcome back players like Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joël Matip, and Jordan Henderson as the bulk of Liverpool’s spine returns. It’s still difficult to believe that Klopp managed to steer the battered Reds to third in the league given the extreme circumstances they had to deal with since October.
