Liverpool have announced two more pre-season friendlies for August before beginning their new Premier League campaign.
Jürgen Klopp’s men will play two ‘mini’ friendlies this Tuesday, July 20th, against FC Wacker Innsbruck and VfB Stuttgart. They have also confirmed meetings with FSV Mainz 05 on Friday, July 23rd, and a fixture with Hertha Berlin on Tuesday, July 29th.
The two August additions that were confirmed on the club website today will be played at Anfield where there will be a 75% capacity crowd.
The fixture details are as follows:
- Liverpool vs Athletic Bilbao, Anfield, August 8th, 16:00
- Liverpool vs Osasuna, Anfield, August 9th, 19:00
The games are little more than 24 hours apart so it’s clear that Klopp will be fielding two completely different starting lineups for those games, as he will this Tuesday for Liverpool’s ‘mini’ friendlies.
As stated on Liverpoolfc.com:
The game against Osasuna will be a tribute to Michael Robinson, who played for both clubs and sadly passed away at the age of 61 in April 2020.
We will play two pre-season friendlies at Anfield next month in front of the largest crowd since March 2020
