Wolves 0 – 1 Liverpool – FA Cup Player Ratings
Caoimhin Kelleher – 7.0
Recalled for this competition and enjoyed a very quiet first half. The second half was very controlled and he once more had very little to do.
James Milner – 6.0
Had moments where he struggled to get back, with Wolves targeting the flanks for their attacks. Showed good composure up and down the flank in the first half and was a constant voice for Harvey ahead of him. He showed good leadership and was a plus point for his manager.
Subbed – 65 mins
Kostas Tsimikas – 7.0
Had a solid and aggressive first half, with an ability to travel up and down the wing. Gave a good outlet for Harvey and Carvalho, as the reds enjoyed good control. His second half was more about positionally sound and he had a steady second period.
Joe Gomez – 7.0
A good first half with a keen desire to stay close and tight to the Wolves attacking players. Was firm and decisive with a good partnership building with Ibou. Looked very assured through the second half and these games are very good for his confidence.
Ibrahima Konaté – 8.0
Worked well on the front foot and showed his usual physicality as the reds enjoyed a good first half. Was very disciplined and strong as the reds-maintained control of the second half.
Thiago Alcantara – 7.0
A progressive first half with some smart off ball work to nullify the home side’s midfield possession. Was good in recycling possession and was good to see him off early.
Subbed – 75 mins
Stefan Bajetic – 7.0
A nice first half that showed good control, smart distribution and strong aggressive play. Had a very mature outing and should start to be utilised more often, with other senior players unable to match the physicality he brings.
Subbed – 75 mins
Naby Keita – 7.0
Kept the work rate high through and industrious first period. Linked well with Harvey and his fellow midfielders. Was so steady and reliable in his work and allowed the reds to almost coast through the second half.
Harvey Elliott – 8.0
A superb solo effort from distance was the pinnacle of a very strong first half performance. He seemed more at ease in that wider and huger position and enjoyed good moments throughout the opening 45 minutes. He was very confident and assured through the second half and will be overjoyed with a game.
Fabio Carvalho – 5.0
Had some neat touches in the first half, though still looked lacking when a physical challenge or ability to hold the ball was needed. He struggled to impact the game before coming off.
Subbed – 65 mins
Cody Gakpo – 6.0
Worked hard through the opening half as the space around him was often limited. Looked to link play with those around him and showed some nice touches in tight areas.
Subbed – 65 mins

Mohamed Salah – 6.0 (on 65)

Curtis Jones – 6.0 (on 45)
Good to have him back in the mix.
Fabinho – 6.0 (on 75)
Came in to help close out the game.
Ben Doak – 6.0 (on 75)
More minutes.
The Manager;
Jurgen Klopp – 8.0
Went mix and match with his starting line-up, but the energy levels were far higher that what we witnessed in the previous two league games.
His team looked to have a better balance through the middle, with the two outside midfielders really working well on and off the ball.
The control of the game was far more evident and his side seemed far more active in their pursuit of victory.
More of this will be needed for the weekend and the gaffer has some decisions to make.
Pre-match Prediction;
Wolves 4 – 2 Liverpool
