Liverpool Close to Sealing Fabinho’s £40m Move to Al Ittihad
In what now seems to have become one of the most drawn out moves of the transfer window, Fabinho’s switch from Liverpool to Al Ittihad seems almost finalised.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Al Ittihad are on the brink of finalising a deal worth £40 million for the Brazilian. This could turn out to be a wise decision from the Merseyside club, given Fabinho’s recent form and advancing age.
Despite the deal’s imminent nature, Liverpool remain cautious. Even though documents need to be verified, it’s getting near,” says a club insider, underlining the importance of due diligence in the transfer market.

New Chapter for Fabinho
Fabinho is expected to undergo a medical shortly. A three-year agreement with Al Ittihad is already in place, waiting for the player’s signature. Intriguingly, Fabinho did not join Liverpool’s recent journey to Singapore for the pre-season tour, sparking further speculation about his future.
Adding to the drama, the midfielder might soon face his former captain, Jordan Henderson, but this time in the Saudi Pro-League. Henderson currently plies his trade with Al Ettifaq, setting the stage for a mouth-watering encounter if Fabinho’s move to Al Ittihad materialises.
