In what now seems to have become one of the most drawn out moves of the transfer window, Fabinho’s switch from Liverpool to Al Ittihad seems almost finalised.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Al Ittihad are on the brink of finalising a deal worth £40 million for the Brazilian. This could turn out to be a wise decision from the Merseyside club, given Fabinho’s recent form and advancing age.

Fabinho is expected to undergo a medical shortly. A three-year agreement with Al Ittihad is already in place, waiting for the player’s signature. Intriguingly, Fabinho did not join Liverpool’s recent journey to Singapore for the pre-season tour, sparking further speculation about his future.
