“Liverpool really like this player,” Davis admitted, before adding that multiple reliable sources had confirmed the club’s serious interest. “Luis Diaz will walk out the door to Barcelona tomorrow if they open it,” Downey stated bluntly. Davis added weight to that claim: “We suspect Diaz is going… the only question is where does he fit in.”
The podcast acknowledged that Diaz still has admirers, but with wage demands rising and Liverpool sticking to their financial structure, the club may opt to sell while his value remains high.

Downey backed this, saying: “You could be looking at some lads who are just good lads and don’t want to let the side down… when the job gets done, all bets are off.”
