Journalist Rules Out Liverpool’s Potential Move to Sign World-Class Forward
With Liverpool’s season falling to pieces, it’s only natural that speculation starts to rise over the January transfer window.
Just three months ago, the Reds spent a record-breaking £450m on new signings to bolster Arne Slot’s title-winning squad.
However, six defeats in their last seven Premier League games has left them sitting 12th in the table and 11 points off league-leaders Arsenal.
One of the main criticisms has been the lack of impact from the new arrivals. Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz cost a combined £241m and are yet to register a single goal contribution in the Premier League this season.
And according to recent reports, Liverpool are looking to bolster their attacking depth even further next month but one player has been firmly ruled out…
Liverpool ‘Not Planning’ Move for Bayern Munich Star
Since his move from Crystal Palace, Michael Olise has become an absolute star at Bayern Munich. He has notched nine goals and ten assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for the German giants so far this season.
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, whilst Liverpool are ‘fond’ of Olise, a move is currently not in the works.
“Liverpool are fond of Michael Olise and view him as a future dream target. However, despite other reports, they are not planning an offer at this stage. He is currently not a concrete transfer target for LFC.”
“Main reasons: he does not have a release clause in his contract, FC Bayern are not open to talks, and Olise himself is not inclined to leave.”
“Liverpool are currently focused on Antoine Semenyo.”

January Move for Antoine Semenyo?
The AFC Bournemouth forward has been electric this season and has a £65m release clause valid in January. Only Erling Haaland has more goal contributions in the Premier League so far this season.
The 25-year-old is capable of playing on both flanks and is brilliant with both feet. Mix his improving end-product with his incredible pressing ability and he could prove to be a real bargain.
Perhaps a move for Olise could materialise in the future, but at the moment that one looks like a non-starter.
