Liverpool Confirmed XI and Team News Ahead of Inter Milan Clash
Last time out in the Champions League, Liverpool fell to an embarrasing 4-1 defeat to PSV at Anfield, leaving them 13th in the league phase.
Since then, the Reds have won just one of their last four games and the pressure on head coach Arne Slot continues to rise.
A win here would be huge and could put Liverpool right back amongst the battle for a top eight finish, but anything other than a win would pour more misery on Slot and his side.
Liverpool Team News:
Mohamed Salah’s outburst at Elland Road on Saturday has done very little to help the situation of the team and will now face the consequences of his words. The forward has been left out of the squad for tonight’s game.
At the back, Jeremie Frimpong remains sidelined with a hamstring issue but is expected to return in the next week or so. Giovanni Leoni is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Slot’s midfield options have taken a slight blow since Saturday with Wataru Endo out of the squad.
Alongside Salah, forwards Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa are missing for this one too. Gakpo is set to miss a few weeks with an injury sustained in the 3-3 draw with Leeds, whilst Chiesa is out with illness and is expected to return for Saturday’s clash with Brighton.
