Liverpool 1 – 1 Tottenham PL Player Ratings

The Premier League brought two struggling coaches together as mediocre met disappointment at Anfield.

The lineup and subsequent ratings are listed below.

Alisson Becker – 7.0

The giant Brazilian stopper was able to control much of what came his way as the Reds participated in a game of lacklustre football.

After the restart, the Reds’ world-class keeper was let down by his back line as the guests grabbed a goal late on after he had done his best to ensure a win.

Joe Gomez – 6.0

The England international was fairly decent if unable at time to match the aerial prowess of the man next to him.

In the second half the former Charlton man was solid and reactive as the game started to slip towards Spurs favour.

Andy Robertson – 6.0

The Scotland international was able to offer decent width as the reds took territorial advantage.

After the break, the veteran full-back was poor for the equaliser as he failed to compete.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 7.0

The Hungarian international was able to open the scoring with a searing free kick and delivered good opportunities into the box.

When the match resumed, the former Bundesliga star was always willing to make up for the lack of energy of others.

Virgil van Dijk – 6.0

The captain and leader of this team untested for large periods and seemed to be coasting and dealing with issues as they arose.

After the intermission, the former Celtic giant was more on the midst of defensive play and struggled for the equaliser when he maybe could have won the first ball.

Alexis Mac Allister – 6.0

The former Brighton star was lacking in control and energy as Spurs were more purposeful.

Rio Ngumoha – 7.0

The England youth international was able to offer continual energy as the spark from the flank.

After the restart he was less incisive yet still able to offer chances when the game opened up.

Ryan Gravenberch – 5.0

The Dutch midfielder was poor and ineffective as he struggled to impact the half.

After the half-time break, the former Ajax man was a passenger and failed to protect his VAM line as the starting six.

Florian Wirtz – 6.0

The German attacking midfielder was clever and expressive against a team designed to frustrate.

In the second half, the creator was unable to ignite the spark needed to make a true impression.

Jeremie Frimpong – 6.0

The jet heeled attacker was a little peripheral in the opening 45 minutes, as his desire to push past his full back was nullified by a deep block.

After the break, the former Celtic man was busy and productive on the ball before leaving the field.

Cody Gakpo – 6.0

The Dutch attacker was a solid central striker who allowed movement around him. However, too often he was vacant from that central position when the game needed a poacher.

After the intermission, the former PSV attacker was peripheral and lacked cutting edge before leaving the pitch.
