David Ornstein: Yan Diomande Chooses PSG Over Liverpool
Liverpool have been pushing hard to sign RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande, but the deal is now feeling unlikely.
The Reds had a £86m bid rejected for the 19-year-old, but it felt like a deal was getting closer.
However, David Ornstein’s latest update has dealt Liverpool a hammer blow in the transfer market.
Speaking on X, he said: “Yan Diomande chooses Paris Saint-Germain as next destination if he departs RB Leipzig this summer.”
“19-year-old said to believe in PSG’s project led by Al-Khelaifi / Campos / Enrique + wants chance to lift trophies regularly and win Ballon d’Or.”

The teenager was seen as the perfect replacement for the departing Mohamed Salah and Liverpool were willing to spend big money on the youngster.
But now, they will be looking elsewhere. Brighton’s Yankubah Minteh, Koln’s Said El Mala and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo are on their shortlist.
