PSG Transfer Moves Could Open Bradley Barcola Door for Liverpool

Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola may soon receive a significant boost, with Paris Saint-Germain pushing ahead with plans to add two more attackers before the transfer window closes.

According to RMC Sport, PSG are working towards deals for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres and Ajax winger Mika Godts, with personal agreements reportedly already reached with both players.

For Liverpool, what happens in Paris matters. Barcola remains firmly on the club’s radar and PSG’s recruitment could provide the circumstances required for a transfer to progress.

PSG Push Ahead With Attacking Rebuild

RMC Sport reports that PSG are confident of completing moves for Torres and Godts, although negotiations with Barcelona and Ajax remain ongoing.

Torres has reportedly approved a move to Paris, with discussions continuing over a transfer fee believed to be approximately €50 million. The Spain international has entered the final year of his Barcelona contract.

Godts represents a younger option. PSG are understood to have offered around €40 million for the 21-year-old Ajax winger, while the Dutch club reportedly value him closer to €60 million.

Those negotiations arrive during a substantial reshaping of Luis Enrique’s attacking options.

PSG have already recruited Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco and Alessandro Longoni this summer following the departures of Goncalo Ramos and Lee Kang-in.

Adding Torres and Godts would give PSG considerable depth across several attacking positions.

PSG signing Torres and Godts would make a Barcola departure considerably easier to accommodate.

That is why Liverpool supporters should pay attention to events involving players who may never come anywhere near Anfield.

There is also something reassuring about Liverpool potentially benefiting from PSG’s recruitment rather than desperately attempting to force the situation themselves.

If Barcola wants Liverpool and PSG are preparing their squad for his departure, patience becomes entirely sensible.

Andoni Iraola needs attacking players capable of stretching opponents. Barcola can receive possession wide, attack the full back and carry the ball into dangerous areas, qualities that could be extremely valuable within Iraola’s aggressive approach.

There would inevitably be questions over the eventual fee. PSG will hardly give away a player entering his prime, even with only two years remaining on his contract.

Liverpool should still be excited if the opportunity becomes realistic.

After losing Mohamed Salah, rebuilding the attacking structure was always going to require more than simply replacing goals. Liverpool need unpredictability, pace and players capable of developing into major figures at Anfield.

Barcola ticks plenty of those boxes.
