Liverpool Transfers: Fabrizio Romano Confirms £15m Deal
After a record-breaking start to the summer window in terms of arrivals, Liverpool’s attention has now seemingly switches on to outgoings.
Earlier this week, the club confirmed that Luis Diaz would join Bayern Munich in a deal worth £65.5million and now it looks like another could be following him out of the door.
Both Fabrizio Romano and Paul Joyce have confirmed that midfielder Tyler Morton is set to join Olympique Lyon in a deal worth £15million.
“Olympique Lyon, closing in on Tyler Morton deal with Liverpool for £15m transfer fee.”
“Negotiations at final stages.”

Since making his debut under Jurgen Klopp back in 2021, Morton has always been highly rated at Liverpool. Solid loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Hull City earned him a season amongst the first-team under Arne Slot.
However, he made just five appearances across all competitions for the Reds last season and failed to make a single appearance in the Premier League.
It’s a good deal for all parties involved. Morton goes abroad with a chance to really kickstart his high-potential career, whilst Liverpool receive a healthy influx of cash that can be put towards strengthening areas of the squad.
With that in mind, Liverpool are insisting on signing a central defender before the end of the month. Slot has just two fit senior centre-backs available as it stands, following Jarell Quansah’s £35m move to Bayer Leverkusen and Joe Gomez’s achilles injury.
Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is at the top of Liverpool’s list, but unless Crystal Palace’s £45m asking price drops, then the Reds will stay patient and strike a deal when his contract expires next summer.
Liverpool also remain keen on agreeing a deal to sign Alexander Isak in a record-breaking move, but that deal has seemingly been put on hold for now.
Either way, you can expect more business at Anfield this summer.
