Liverpool Confirmed Starting XI vs Chelsea

Liverpool return to action after last Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United and Arne Slot will be hoping for a reaction from his players.

The Reds host Chelsea at Anfield, where a win would secure Champions League qualification for next season. 

Prior to the defeat to Man United, Liverpool had won three games on the bounce against Fulham, Everton and Crystal Palace.

Chelsea have had their own struggles, losing their last six Premier League games and only scoring one goal in that run.

Interim head coach Calum McFarlane remains in charge, after Liam Rosenior was sacked after the 3-0 defeat to Brighton two weeks ago.

Giorgi Mamardashvili returned to training yesterday and could replace Freddie Woodman in goal. Alisson Becker remains absent.

After a brief scare this week, Ibrahima Konate is available for selection. The same applies for Florian Wirtz, who missed training on Wednesday through illness.

Alexander Isak also returned to training yesterday and is in contention for a return, but Mohamed Salah will just miss out on this occasion.

Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley, Wataru Endo, Stefan Bajcetic, Jayden Danns and Hugo Ekitike all remain sidelined with long-term issues.
