Defensive additions also remain under consideration following Joe Gomez’s injury, which has reduced Iraola’s options ahead of the opening weeks of the campaign.

Away from the senior transfer market, Liverpool have completed the signing of Zach Trinder from Wolves, securing one of the country’s standout young goalkeeping prospects.
Despite being only 14, Trinder has already demonstrated remarkable progress. After beginning the 2025/26 campaign with Wolves Under 15s, he advanced rapidly through the age groups before making his Under 18 debut, where he marked the occasion with a clean sheet.
