In the opening half of Jim Boardman’s chat with Liverpool left-back legend Jim Beglin, Anfield Index’s Jim speaks to Liverpool FC’s Jim about his journey from local schoolboy football in Waterford to becoming Bob Paisley’s last ever signing for the Reds and breaking through into the first team. The Irish international talks fondly about his early days in the sport and that first professional contract, how his move to Anfield came about and how the boot room schooling prepared him not only for his emergence as a regular in the first team but for the ups and downs that were to follow, including a season that ended in tragedy.
Guy hosts this one and is joined by the usual duo Dave & Karl as they do a draft of under 25 players that could be a top team/players for years to come. The podcast idea stemmed from a Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher draft segment from Sky Sports news, but ours has more of a draft format so no duplicate players in each others teams, and has to be an actual functioning team rather than cramming in as many forwards as possible. Who's team did you like the best, what would your team be? Let us know on Twitter or on Discord.
Mike Nevin is joined again by Karl Koppack and Jim Boardman to discuss Graeme Souness’s spell as manager.
We hear the case for both sides. Mitigation, litigation; just need for meditation.

We open the casebook in part 1 of The Souness Years.
Dave and Karl are back for another show, in this episode, they continue the series of creating and discussing XI's from a league in it's best decade. This one they go through La Liga in the 2010's, obviously Ronaldo & Messi would be in the team, so the pair have decided to leave them out to make the teams more interesting.
Jim Boardman and Mike Nevin return for another virtual walk around the streets of Liverpool, stopping off at Jack Sharps, Home and Bargain and Woolworths - but never quite getting to wherever it was they set off for. Charlie Adam's Blackpool, an Igor Biscan banner and Ryan Babel’s favourite referee get brought into the conversation, along with this week’s tips on stuff to search for on YouTube.
Gags, Darth and Si are back to discuss another miracle night at Anfield.
The major question asked on this show is... how the hell did Liverpool win this game?

Dave and Karl are back for another show, in this episode, they replace Liverpool's entire team using a realistic budget to fit Klopp's style. Is it possible to create a team anywhere near as good as the real one?
Trev Downey joins Jim Boardman for this show as we continue our look at the back stories of AI contributors from around the world, a chance to compare notes on supporting the Reds from near or far. What - or who - made Trev fall in love with the team in Red, and how easy was that from a distance? We also discuss Trev's route into fan media - and then it's time for him to reveal his all-time greatest Liverpool XI. Will there be any surprises?
