Dave and Karl are back to discuss the January transfer windows. They go all around Europe picking out a favourite window for a team each, then go through big transfers, and look at transfers from some Premier League teams, as Sheffield United show real ambition and United have at least made Dave laugh after signing Bruno.Â
Stick your mid-season break, say Jim Boardman and Mike Nevin, braving the harsh northern winter to bring you this week’s Scouser Tommies, right from the heart of Liverpool on a sniff of the barmaid’s apron.
On the latest RAW, Trev Downey is joined by Karl Matchett and Jim Boardman, as well as producer Guy Drinkel, to revel in The Reds’ 4-0 win over Ralph Hasenhuttel’s recently resurgent Southampton. As ever, the lads analyse the performances of Jürgen Klopp and his men and tease out all the key moments of the match. It’s another belter.
Guy is joined by Jay Reid to discuss all the topics from Klopp's press conference this afternoon ahead of this weekends game against Southampton at Anfield. They discuss:
Mo at the Olympics
2 wins away from CL!
Return of Ings
Southampton turn around
Injury update
Gomez is good
Lineups & predictions
They also give their lineups and predictions for the game.
Dave and Karl are back to discuss the upcoming Premier League game against Southampton as the inform south coast side could prove to be a much tougher task than only a month or two ago. They go through the fixture in detail and discuss how Southampton have turned it around, and who's been key to their upturn. They also discuss the interesting dilemma with Liverpool's selection with players returning from injury and a couple of potential starters underperforming. They also give some fixtures to watch over the weekend.Â
On the latest Molby On The Spot, Trev Downey and Liverpool legend Jan Molby look back on the FA Cup tie with Shrewsbury and the resultant controversy. They then analyse the excellent win against West Ham before throwing their eyes forward toward the clash with Southampton at Anfield on Saturday. There’s even a bit of bonus Atletico chat at the end. As ever, Jan is full of insight and wit and Trev does his best to keep up with The Great Dane. It is, as ever, well worth your time.
On the latest RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Mo Chatra pick apart Liverpool’s 0-2 away win at West Ham, which saw them go nineteen points clear at the top of a league they are hoping to finally win for the nineteenth time. The Reds were good value for their victory with a dominant display and, as ever, the lads focus on the major incidents and key performances of a match which David Moyes appears to have seen quite differently. Needless to say, he gets a mention…or nineteen.
Gags Tandon, Simon Brundish and Dan Rhodes discuss the difficult game in Wolverhampton where the Reds's backs were against the Wolves! The boys analyse the action and go through the numbers that came out of the game - pressing and xg mixed into the discussion as they go through the game.
The lads also discuss the Shrewsbury game briefly as not many stats were available and because the first team wasn't playing.
Finally they end the show with a short debate on Klopp's decision to not manage the U23 side for the 4th Round replay at Anfield.
