The Reds, fresh from the Super Cup victory in mid week, resumed their league campaign against Southampton. The first half involved uneasy watching for the LFC fans as Southampton dominating proceedings, with Adrian perhaps Liverpool's most important player of the half. Still, Super Sadio lashed home a whopper, and the Reds had a far better second half, albeit with some late self inflicted bumps and bruises.
