Liverpool wrapped up their pre-season tour of Asia with a 3-1 win over Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan.
An uneven pitch made things difficult for the Reds, but they emerged victorious thanks to goals from Florian Wirtz, Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha.
And reporter David Lynch believes that marked an encouraging end to a trip that has furthered preparations for the new campaign.
