Post Match RAW: IMPACT SUB

On the latest RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Karl Matchett give their immediate reactions to Liverpool’s victory over Fulham, which saw Jürgen Klopp’s charges go back to the summit of the Premier League for a couple of weeks while international football takes centre stage. It was an odd afternoon at Craven Cottage which The Reds dominated but which featured some uncharacteristic defensive uncertainty and a frustrating inability to convert the numerous opportunities created by the dominance of the Anfield men. As ever, the performances are assessed, the key moments are analysed and tangents are gone on.

Post Match RAW: WHY NOT BOTH?

On the latest episode of RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Hari Sethi revel in a masterful European away victory for The Reds in the Allianz Arena, as Jürgen Klopp’s men beat Bayern Munich by three goals to one to progress to the quarter finals of the Champions League. As ever, the lads pick apart the major incidents of the game and analyse the performances of Liverpool’s players on the night, with Sadio Mané, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Fabinho receiving the lion’s share of the plaudits. With The Reds pushing on in Europe and staying on course domestically, Trev, Dave and Hari ask the question - “why not both?”

Post Match RAW: ABSOLUTE BANTER

On the latest RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Hari Sethi give their immediate reactions to Liverpool’s 4-2 win over Burnley at Anfield which kept the pressure on City by easing Jürgen Klopp’s men back within a point of the Mancunians. And what a banter narrative this match had! After the manager’s comments about the wind recently, it was blowing a gale at Anfield today. After City’s illegitimate goal yesterday, Andre Marriner allows a clearly illegal goal early today. And after many of us wincing at the inclusion of Adam Lallana, the midfielder put in the kind of display he hasn’t managed for a couple of years. Tremendous!

Post Match RAW: WIND OF CHANGE?

On the latest episode of RAW, Trev Downey, Hari Sethi and Dave Hendrick bring you their immediate reaction to the 0-0 at Goodison. On an afternoon when The Reds lacked any real creative spark and forgot their midweek goalscoring boots, not many of Jürgen Klopp’s men covered themselves in glory. It was an annoyingly tight affair and saw Liverpool cede top spot to City, who now hold a point lead. The lads look at the key moments of the match, while assessing the players’ contributions and they are all particularly critical of the way in which the manager organised his troops on the day, with the substitutions being a real bone of contention.

Post Match RAW: LIB’POOL, TOP OF THE LEAGUE

On the latest RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Hari Sethi revel in the Reds’ 5-0 win over Watford, which saw them stay top of the table in the most emphatic of fashions. As ever, the lads reflect on and analyse the key moments of the game and also pick apart the performances of Jürgen Klopp’s men. Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Mo Salah, Sadio Mané and especially Trent Alexander Arnold come in for particular praise but the plaudits are shared between a group of excellent performers who emphatically reminded rivals that Liverpool are top of the Premier League and have no interest in relinquishing that position.

Post Match RAW: TOP BUT NOT GOOD

On the latest episode of RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Karl Matchett discuss the drab and frustrating goalless draw at Old Trafford. On an afternoon when The Reds went top by the slenderest of margins after their game-in-hand, there wasn't much in the way of positivity, as the performance was cagey and uninspired, with several of the key men, especially Mo Salah, off the boil and Roberto Firmino leaving the fray injured. As ever, the lads discuss the key moments and assess the individual performances and one or two, including the manager, come out with less credit than usual.

Post Match RAW: ABSOLUTELY OK

Following Liverpool’s scoreless draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Anfield, Trev Downey was joined by Dave Hendrick and Mo Chatra to pick the bones out of a real game of two halves. As ever, the lads evaluate the individual performances of manager and players and, in a lovely turn of events, there is a plethora of praise for Jordan Henderson, with Naby Keita, Gini Wijnaldum and Fabinho also featuring heavily in the chat about the best Reds on the night. The individual highlights and dramatic incidents are all analysed, although most of these took place in the first 45. It’s a great conversation about what was, with the Manc game at the weekend, a creditable half time score in this massive European clash.

Post Match RAW: BACK TO THEIR BEST

On the latest RAW, Trev Downey, Karl Matchett and Mo Chatra reflect on an immensely satisfying 3-0 victory for Liverpool over Bournemouth at Anfield. After a couple of shows in which the tone was one of frustration and some of the comments were justifiably critical, today’s episode is a love-in, with Gini Wijnaldum, Andy Robertson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Mo Salah coming in for special praise. As ever, the lads analyse every key moment of an afternoon marked by a defiantly celebratory mood inside Anfield. With three stunning goals, a rampant attack, an ebullient press and the old defensive miserliness all on display, it’s safe to say positivity reigns on RAW.

Post Match RAW: LOSING THE LEAD

As The Reds drop another two points, this time at the London Stadium to West Ham, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Mo Chatra gathered immediately afterwards to bring you their RAW thoughts on another disappointing outing for Jürgen Klopp’s men. On a night when Liverpool enjoyed over 70% possession, the toothlessness of the last outing against Leicester was on display and again, it was Sadio Mané who was the only Red capable of netting. As ever, the lads look at the key moments of the game and analyse the individual performances on display, with not too many, including the manager, escaping some criticism.

Post Match RAW: FRUSTRATED BUT 5 CLEAR

On the latest episode of RAW, Trev Downey, Dave Hendrick and Hari Sethi give their immediate reactions to Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Leicester at Anfield. On a night where at least three dubious decisions went against The Reds, they were also guilty of coughing up several gilt-edged chances which could easily have led to a defeat. Overall then, it would be churlish to moan too much about extending the lead at the top to 5 points - but the lads do anyway! As ever, the individual performances are assessed - many were below par - and the critical moments of the match are analysed - many of them featured the referee favouring Leicester. It’s a very engaging chat that sums up the frustrations of many fans on the night.
