Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci should be back in full training in a matter of weeks according to the club’s medical staff.
The left-back had been impressing fans and Jurgen Klopp with his pre-season performances this summer but was taken out of the Sevilla game after a disgraceful challenge from French player Joris Gnagnon.
However, reports on the official Liverpool website on Tuesday night state that Larouci doesn’t seem to have suffered any bone fractures, instead he has some very heavy bruising to his femur bone.
Liverpool are hopeful the injury sustained by Yasser Larouci in Sunday’s pre-season friendly with Sevilla is not serious.
Larouci has suffered heavy bruising in his femur bone and the club’s medical team will continue to monitor the injury as it settles.
However, the Reds are optimistic the 18-year-old will only be ruled out for no more than a matter of weeks.
This is good news for Larouci but he is still sure to be downhearted knowing he will not get another chance to impress Klopp and his backroom team this summer.
Hopefully, Larouci will be given further opportunities to show his talent in the domestic cups during the season.
