Predicting Liverpool's starting lineup for Manchester United game on Sunday

Liverpool travel to play Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday. We’ve had a go at predicting Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup.

The big news being reported over the last week is that the club’s Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker is back to full fitness and available for selection.

While The Reds’ stand-in ‘keeper, Adrian, has done a fantastic job in helping Liverpool to an 8-game winning run to start the league season, it’s widely expected that Alisson will reclaim his starting berth at Old Trafford.

In defence, Joel Matip has recovered from a slight knock he was carrying and I expect him to keep his starting place alongside Virgil van Dijk in central defence.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will be on either side of the back four, as per.

In midfield, Klopp’s favoured starting trio this season seems to be Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum. I think we’ll see more of the same on Sunday.

The front three is also at full strength with Mohamed Salah starting on the right, Bobby Firmino through the centre and Sadio Mané wide left.

Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) Vs Manchester United: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mané
