Premier League action returns this weekend with Liverpool playing Everton at Goodison Park in the early kick-off on Saturday.
Everton sit top of the table at the moment, winning all four of their league games so far. Jürgen Klopp’s Reds did start their campaign with three consecutive wins before then falling to a 7-2 hammering at the hands of Aston Villa.
Liverpool will be eager to restore some of the pride lost at Villa Park almost two weeks ago when they make the short trip to Goodison Park tomorrow.
With Alisson Becker still not fully fit, Liverpool will have Adrián between the sticks.
I think Klopp may give Joe Gomez a place on the bench, opting for Joël Matip in the centre of defence alongside Virgil van Dijk. Matip returned to full training at Melwood over the international break.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson should be at right-back and left-back respectively.
With Thiago Alcântara and Jordan Henderson both fit again, Klopp has some decisions to make regarding his midfield trio. I expect him to go with Fabinho, Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum. Thiago is likely to feature from the bench at some stage in the second half.
Sadio Mané is also back to full health following his COVID-19 diagnosis. He should start in place of Diogo Jota on the left side of the front three.
Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) vs Everton: Adrián; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mané
