Liverpool will face Spanish giants Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League as revealed in today’s draw in Switzerland.
Jürgen Klopp’s men travel to Madrid for the first leg on April 6th or 7th before welcoming Zinedine Zidane and co to Anfield for the return fixture a week later.
The last time the sides met was the 2018 Champions League final in Kyiv. Real Madrid won 3-1 after a night to forget for Loris Karius in the Liverpool goal. There have been six games in total between the teams with both clubs winning three matches each.
As is tradition, the semi-final draw was also done today. Whoever progresses from the Real Madrid vs Liverpool clash will face the winner of FC Porto vs Chelsea in the semis.

The final takes place at the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey on Saturday, May 29th. It’s the same venue that Liverpool tasted glory after a memorable second-half comeback against AC Milan in 2005.
