Liverpool defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are both expecting to be able to enjoy a full pre-season training schedule.
Van Dijk has been out injured since last October while Alexander-Arnold got injured on international duty before this summer’s Euros.
In recent days, Van Dijk posted a tweet saying “Pre-season ready” along with a video clip of him talking about how much he is looking forward to getting back in action for Liverpool and the return of fans to the stadiums.

Meanwhile, following Alexander-Arnold’s tweet from a couple of weeks ago, he appeared on BBC Sport’s coverage of England’s win over Ukraine on Sunday evening.

When asked about his rehabilitation, Alexander-Arnold told the BBC:
“Every day’s a new step, every day’s getting better, getting fitter and I think going into pre-season we’ll be good.
“Obviously [I’ve had] a few weeks of rest and then [I’ll be] hitting the season and trying to push on from there.”
Liverpool are also hoping to have the newly-married Joe Gomez back before the start of the new season while Joël Matip’s progress is also being monitored.
Jürgen Klopp will also have new centre-back signing Ibrahima Konaté to add to his squad for the new campaign as Liverpool look to mount new challenges for the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League.
