Liverpool’s Pre-Season Plans: From Kirkby to Germany
Liverpool are all set to spice up their pre-season proceedings with a lively trip to Germany. This summer, Jurgen Klopp’s squad will return to his homeland, with friendlies now scheduled with Karlsruher SC and SpVgg Greuther Furth.
Come July 19, Klopp’s charges will take on second-tier side Karlsruher SC at BBBank Wildpark, a contest slated for a 1730 BST kick-off. This will be followed by a behind-closed-doors affair with SpVgg Greuther Furth, penned for the afternoon of July 24.
Before jetting off to Germany, Liverpool’s training ground at Kirkby will hum with activity. From July 8, the squad will gather to hone their skills for the demanding season ahead. The international pack will join the flock three days later, recharged from their brief respite.
Germany and Singapore
Post the Kirkby preparations, the Reds will head for an intense training camp in Germany. The German sojourn will be a valuable opportunity for the squad to meld and get match-ready, offering a crucible for testing strategies and strengthening bonds.
The whistle on the Germany trip won’t signal the end. Liverpool will then dart across to Asia to contest in the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy. They’ll tussle with Leicester City on July 30 and square off against Bayern Munich on August 2, at the Singapore National Stadium.
Klopp is also hoping to orchestrate a friendly match on home turf before the Premier League curtain raises the weekend of August 12. This makes for an exciting pre-season schedule, promising an incredible fusion of homegrown passion, German precision, and Asian spectacle. Liverpool are sure to ready, will you be?
