Starting XI Prediction: Liverpool vs Wolves
The dreaded day is finally upon us as we prepare to watch Jurgen Klopp lead Liverpool out for the final time. After almost nine years in the dugout and a lifetime of memories, Klopp’s glorious story is set to come to a close. But with that, could there still be time for one last beautiful chapter to that story, as Liverpool host Wolves in the Premier League.
Despite the obvious emotional storyline, there is still a football game to be played and another three points to be won, which could take Liverpool onto 82 points in Klopp’s final season.
With that being said, let’s take a look at who we think will make it into Klopp’s final eleven…
Ibou’s Return?
Firstly, Alisson Becker will undoubtedly start in goal for this one, meaning Caoimhin Kelleher will have to settle for the bench in what could be his final game for the club. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will partner each other at full-back, also meaning Joe Gomez, Conor Bradley and Kostas Tsimikas will miss out.

Virgil Van Dijk will also definitely captain the team and will start at the heart of the defence. However, his partner isn’t so clear with Ibou Konate and Jarell Quansah jostling for a starting spot. After another impressive performance at Aston Villa on Monday, I think Quansah might actually keep Konate out of the starting lineup again.
Verdict: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk (C), Robertson
Form or Reputation?
With it being Klopp’s final game, it wouldn’t surprise me to see someone like Curtis Jones given a considerable amount of minutes for this one. However, I don’t think he will make it into the starting lineup.

Wataru Endo will keep his place at the base of the midfield, whilst Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott will partner each other ahead of him once again. Jones will join the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch on the bench.
Verdict: Endo, Mac Allister, Elliott
Stick or Twist?
Klopp has seemingly settled on a favoured front three over recent weeks and I think he could be set to stick to that. Mohamed Salah will definitely start on the right, whilst Luis Diaz will partner him on the left.

Diogo Jota is expected to be back on the bench for this one, but won’t be fit enough to start. That leaves Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez to battle for the final spot, but it’s very hard to see Klopp dismissing the Dutchman’s recent form and work-rate.
Verdict: Salah, Gakpo, Diaz
Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk (C), Robertson, Endo, Mac Allister, Elliott, Salah, Gakpo, Diaz
Bench: Kelleher, Konate, Gomez, Tsimikas, Jones, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Nunez, Jota
