Is it too early to get excited about how well Liverpool are playing this season? With a few big results, beating Man United 3-0, Chelsea 2-1, and most recently doing the double over Brighton, Liverpool is sitting top of the table and in a very favourable position in the Champions League.
It’s still early on in the season with many games still to play, however, there are a few standout players for Liverpool already this season. Mohamed Salah is performing extremely well, and Trent Alexander-Arnold has shown many glimpses of excellence, Virgil van Dijk is looking solid in defence and Luis Diaz has scored 5 and assisted 2 already.
It may be a dream but could our dreams come true this year with another trophy in the cabinet, only time will tell. But for now, let’s look more into Liverpool’s best players in 2024 so far. And if you ever fancy a bet on the up-and-coming results, there are a few US betting sites that you can try.
Mohamed Salah
It will come as no surprise that Mohamed Salah is at the top of the list. Over the years he has developed into one of the best Premier League players (If not the best at times) and one of the best players in the world. So far this season he has scored 7 in 10 games and within these games also assisted 6 times which is incredibly high. If Liverpool are to win the league this year, they will need Mohamed Salah to keep firing on all cylinders.
Trent Alexander-Arnold
A player who impresses season after season is Trent Alexander-Arnold. His range of passing is incredible and is often involved in anything that’s promising from a Liverpool point of view. He’s managed to get himself back in the fold for the England team and if he keeps performing like he is for Liverpool, it will be no surprise to see him as a starter in the up-and-coming World Cup. When fit, you can bet he will be starting all of Liverpool’s games this season. Fingers crossed he can get more assists and score a couple of goals moving forward.
Luis Diaz
With 5 goals and 2 assists out of 10 games this season, Luis Diaz is second out of all of the Liverpool players for goals and assists (number one goes to Mohamed Salah). When he is at the top of his game, he is a scary player to be up against. He can move the ball well and score from anywhere. His main strengths are his passing and dribbling abilities, and his main weakness is his defensive contribution. That being said, if he keeps scoring and assisting, his weakness can be forgiven.
