Liverpool Injury News: Crucial Star Set to be ‘Out for a While’
Liverpool have suffered another major injury blow as they head into the final stretch of the season.
The Reds are already without the likes of Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo, Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak.
Now, first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker is set for another spell on the sidelines.
Yesterday it was reported that the Brazilian would miss today’s clash with Brighton and it was hoped that it was just a minor issue.
However, Alisson has addressed these reports on Instagaram.
“Unfortunately I will be out for a while,” said Alisson, “I’m already working hard to come back stronger. Thank you for the support.”

Injuries are really starting to impact the 33-year-old. But that hasn’t stopped the club from triggering a one-year extension on his current deal, which will now expire in June 2027.
One slight positive from this is the upcoming international break. Liverpool face Brighton today before a 14-day break before their FA Cup clash with Manchester City.
However, three days after that is the Champions League quarter-final first leg against PSG, where Alisson put in a famous performance last season.
Giorgi Mamardashvili will take Alisson’s place for today’s clash against Brighton and for the foreseeable fixtures. After arriving in a £30m deal from Valencia, he has made 12 appearances across all competitions and has conceded 18 goals. Three of those games ended with a clean sheet.
