Fabrizio Romano has delivered a significant update on Ibrahima Konate, confirming that Liverpool are now advancing towards a crucial agreement over the defender’s future.

Speaking on his YouTube podcast, Romano outlined the progress after a prolonged period of talks, stating, “after long negotiations after many months spent in contacts what I can tell you today is that these negotiations between Liverpool management and Ibrahim Konate the player and his camp are moving to the final stages.”

Romano was careful to stress that, while progress is significant, caution remains necessary. He explained, “the agreement between Konate and Liverpool is getting closer is almost there is not done signed completed yet and we have to wait till the very end before saying it’s done.”
