Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah and even Florian Wirtz arrived with enormous promise rather than finished products.

The biggest question surrounds balance. Cody Gakpo already operates predominantly from the left, while Liverpool continue searching for greater penetration from the right side. Unless Iraola believes Nusa can comfortably switch flanks on a regular basis, there may still be reservations.

Equally, versatility has become increasingly valuable. Elite forwards rarely remain fixed in one position throughout ninety minutes, and Nusa possesses the technical quality to rotate across multiple attacking roles.
