Liverpool Transfer News: Reds Pushing Hard to Sign Bradley Barcola
Liverpool could be closing in on their third nine-figure transfer deal in the past year, as talks progress over a move for PSG forward Bradley Barcola.
Last summer, after lifting the Premier League title, the Reds broke their transfer record twice to sign Florian Wirtz (£116m) and Alexander Isak (£125m).
And now, Liverpool have set their sights on a move for Barcola, who would be their marquee signing of the summer.
Their interest actually goes back to last summer, but the deadline day move for Isak took priority. But now Liverpool have certainly reignited their interest in the PSG star…
Romano Provides Barcola Update
Speaking on Give Me Sport’s ‘Market Madness’ podcast, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola.
He said: “Liverpool will go very strong for this one. Negotiations between the two clubs are already underway.”
“Barcola has always wanted to join Liverpool and Liverpool always had him as a top target. Personal terms aren’t expected to be an issue.”

Romano’s update is a massive boost. Liverpool are already working on the hardest part of the deal and that is reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.
Discussions over personal terms should be smooth, with the 23-year-old desperate to leave the European champions this summer. He has already ruled out the possibility of signing a new deal at the club.
There’s no doubt that it is going to be an expensive deal, but it is going to be crucial in Liverpool’s planning for the upcoming season. World-class ability and raw pace was severely lacking from Liverpool’s attacking line last season, but Barcola could really restore that.
