Liverpool Transfer News: Ibrahim Mbaye Close to Premier League Switch
Liverpool have finally found a breakthrough in talks to sign PSG forward Bradley Barcola, but they’re not planning to stop there.
Barcola is expected to arrive as a direct improvement to Cody Gakpo on the left wing. That leaves Liverpool still searching for a Mohamed Salah replacement on the right wing.
The Reds have had bids rejected for both Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr in their search for a right-winger.
Another name on their shortlist was PSG’s Ibrahim Mbaye. But that move is now looking increasingly unlikely…
Aston Villa Agree Mbaye Deal
According to David Ornstein, Aston Villa have reached an agreement in principle worth €55m for Ibrahim Mbaye.
Speaking on X, he said: “EXCLUSIVE: Aston Villa reach agreement to sign Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain.”

Liverpool had registered their interest in a move for the youngster, but their new value of the player was deemed too much by the Reds.
That led to them switching their sights to both Minteh and Sarr, who are expected to cost £70m+.
With just days remaining of the transfer window, it’ll be interesting to see how Liverpool bolster their attacking options beyond Barcola…
