Liverpool’s Sadio Mané believes Reds fans have only seen glimpses of what Naby Keita has to offer the team so far and that the former RB Leipzig player is just going to get better.
Jurgen Klopp and his men are coming to the end of their Marbella training camp and Mané has been sharing a room with Keita while they were in Spain.
The Liverpool number 10 told Liverpoolfc.com that:
“I just told him today in training, ‘I know your qualities and for sure, everyone is waiting for more from you because that’s normal, it’s a big club and you are doing your best – but you can do more.’
“You saw it last game, he did very well and everyone was happy with him. For sure, a lot more is coming – and I am confident it will because I know him.”
Mané also revealed that sharing a room with Keita means listening to the dulcet tones of the Guinean international as he snores his way through the night.
“I am [rooming] with Naby. It has gone good – [I have to say that] otherwise Naby will kill me!
“I know him very well, he is like a brother and he is a nice lad. But in the room, I cannot sleep because he is always snoring! He is a big snorer, all of the time!”
Mané believes The Reds are in a good place after the recent result against Bournemouth got them back to winning ways.
“The confidence is back, everybody was happy with the result. I would love to keep going with this. Hopefully in the coming weeks we’ll do everything to keep going with our rhythm.
“We know our target this year, so we’re going to fight for it.”
