Liverpool travel to face Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace side this Saturday at Selhurst Park. We’ve had a look at what might be Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven for the game.
Alisson Becker returned from international duty with Brazil unscathed so he will start in goals for Klopp’s side on Saturday.
With Joel Matip still out injured and Andrew Robertson reported to have a swollen ankle, the back four looks likely to be Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk and James Milner. Robertson could still be passed fit but, for now, it seems Milner may have to fill in for the Scottish left-back.
Jordan Henderson and Xherdan Shaqiri are both recovered from illness and a calf injury respectively. Henderson could start in midfield with Fabinho but I think Gini Wijnaldum will be on the bench after featuring heavily for the Netherlands over the international break. This, in turn, would give an ideal opportunity for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to start and continue his fine form.
Mohamed Salah is expected to miss out on the visit to Crystal Palace as he continues his rehabilitation from the recurring ankle injury he is suffering with. Divock Origi should start instead with Sadio Mané moving to the right-hand side of attack and Origi taking up his position on the left.
Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) Vs Crystal Palace: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Milner; Fabinho, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mané, Firmino, Origi
