Liverpool have two more early-season fixtures rearranged for TV broadcast reasons in September as the new Premier League season approaches.
The Reds’ two away fixtures in September – at Leeds and at Brentford – have been rescheduled.
As stated on the official club site:
The trip to Elland Road will now kick-off at 4.30pm on Sunday, September 12. However, if the Reds have a Champions League match on Tuesday, September 14, the game versus Leeds will be played at 5.30pm on Saturday, September 11.
The away meeting with Brentford will now take place at 5.30pm on Saturday, September 25.
Both fixtures will be shown live on Sky Sports and all times are BST.
This means that five of Liverpool’s opening six league fixtures will be broadcast live on TV in the UK.
Here is a quick rundown of those six games that span August and September:
- Aug 14th (Sat): Norwich (A) – 5.30pm
- Aug 21st (Sat): Burnley (H) – 12.30pm
- Aug 28th (Sat): Chelsea (H) – 5.30pm
- Sept 12th (Sun): Leeds (A) – 4.30pm
- Sept 18th (Sat): Crystal Palace (H) – 3.00pm
- Sept 25th (Sat): Brentford (A) – 5.30pm
That is as far as the TV broadcast schedule stretches for now with the Premier League, Sky Sports and BT Sport yet to announce the details of the fixtures from October onwards.
Liverpool’s first scheduled league game in October actually happens to be a home clash against the reigning champions Manchester City so that one will certainly also be moved for broadcast purposes.
