Should he become available, though, then a move to Liverpool would surely pique his interest. The Villa man scored 19 Premier League goals last season and has a number of Champions League strikes to his name this campaign. A proven striker, Watkins knows where the goal is.

Viktor Gyokeres

Liverpool need a consistent scorer of goals, and there aren’t many better options than Viktor Gyokeres. The 26-year-old former Coventry City man is one of the most sought-after strikers around after scoring 43 goals in all competitions in his first season with Sporting CP. Since then, the Swedish goal machine has continued to finish regularly. With reports suggesting the Portuguese giants could be willing to let Gyokeres depart the club for around £50 million, Liverpool could pounce.
